Hsing-I has been classified as an internal mid-range kung fu style. Its technique are simple and direct yet devastating when executed. It is one of the most popular in the Shaolin boxing arena. It is often referred to as “mind boxing”. It is based on the concepts of five elements (earth, metal, water, wood, and fire).These elements are five types of fighting power. It also revolves around twelve animals (dragon, tiger, monkey, horse, chicken, falcon, snake, tai bird, lizard, swallow, eagle an bear). The five animal fist training method includes entry level forms and basics that prepare you for application of techniques. This is an excellent program for self-defense training and highly recommended for serious students with some kung-fu background.
